Minister Gobel Establishes Cooperation with Garuda

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Trade Minister Rachmat Gobel has signed a cooperation agreement with PT Garuda Indonesia as an offer from Garuda to support the Trade Ministry's programs.
"We really hope we can work with the Trade Ministry," said Garuda Indonesia president director Arief Wibodo on Thursday, July 2, 2015.
Gobel accepted the offer and hoped Garuda could provude the best service for exporters and importers.
Gobel said transportation and logistics are important in improving bilateral relations.
Gobel added that the Trade Ministry aims to expand market to Europe and Africa. "I hope Garuda can provide the transportation."
According to Gobel, the cooperation with Garuda can also become an instrument of internal monitoring towards the use of the state budget, especially in official trips and delivery of goods by cargo.
Gobel also appreciated Garuda's rapid progress. "I had always used Singapore Airlines. But, after seeing Garuda's improvement, I decided to use this airline," Gobel said, adding that all Trade Ministry officials should use Garuda.
