TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Inspired by the creativities of motorcycle taxi application Go-Jek and premium taxi service Uber, Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama plans to craft the Go-Truck application.
Ahok said this application would facilitate expedition truck drivers in doing their job. “Many expedition trucks that come to Jakarta from outside of the city have to wait for days to get a load to be transported to their regions,” he said at the City Hall on Thursday, June 25, 2015.
Ahok said that through this application the drivers would no longer have to wait to get their trucks loaded and return to their hometowns, whereas waiting would cause their spending to balloon.
“And usually they go to brothels while waiting for their goods,” he said.
Earlier, Ahok also planned to launch the Go-Busway application to help Transjakarta users find out the arrival of Transjakarta buses at each stop. Through this application, users can also order motorcycle taxis from the Go-Jek application.
