Private Company Suggests to Build Jakarta-Cikampek II Toll Road

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Ahmad Gani Ghazali, the Head of Toll Road Administrator Agency (BPJT) to the Ministry of Public Works and Housing, said that there is a toll-road business entity that proposed the development of Jakarta-Cikampek II toll road.  The proposal is associated with Jakarta-Cikampek toll road that is considered to be highly crowded with the presence of business district development in the area.

“But actually, Jasa Marga has the authority for this,” Gani said in his office on Monday, June 22.

Jasa Marga is currently the administrator for Jakarta-Cikampek toll road.  Whoever proposes the development of Jakarta-Cikampek II should discuss it with BPJT, Directorate General of Bina the Ministry of Public Works and Housing and Jasa Marga.

According to Gani, the proposer should prepare a feasibility study, basic design and environmental system.  They will also be allowed to cover land acquisition cost in advance, if the government do not have the budget.  The bailout fund will be compensated to the government.

However, Gani is reluctant to mention which business entity initiated the Jakarta-Cikampek II toll road development.
