TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Two Indonesian films entitled ‘Sokola Rimba’ and ‘Aroma of Heaven’ win in the Hainan Film Festival, 21 Century Maritime Silk Road, each as the Best Documentary Film and the Best Soundtrack Music.
The Hainan Film Festival is a prestigious festival where 150 Chinese films and many other Asian films, especially those produced by countries alongside silk road, are screened. Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, India, Singapore, Sri Lanka, and Italy are countries along the silk road that took part in the festival.
The festival awards winning films in five categories namely Best Film Making Technology Award, Best Film Acting Award, Best Film Making Award, Best Picture Award, and Best Film Award.
Sokola Rimba, one of the Indonesian winning films, tells the story about Butet Manurung, an activist who dedicates her life to teach children of Suku Anak Dalam in the heart of Jambi forest.
Aroma of Heaven is produced by the state-owned film production company (PFN), Budifilm, Traffic Production, and GoodNews Filma. The film describes coffee profiles from regions around Indonesia.
