TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) is set to reduce ticket ordering time in train stations starting on July 1, 2015. KAI planned to change ticket ordering time from 07:00 am to 21:00 pm Western Indonesia Time, to 09:00 am to 16:00 am.

"Beyond those hours, train stations will only serve go-show tickets," said Public Relations Manager of Operational Area 5, Surono on Thursday, June 18, 2015.

Surono said that the policy was meant to reduce passenger crowd in train stations. Moreover, the plan was made to optimize other ticket ordering system through other means, including the KAI 121 Contact Center, and smartphone apps (the KAI Access and Padiciti).
