Central Java Provides Rp229bn for SME Enterprises

TEMPO.CO, Semarang - Central Java provincial government through PT Penjamin Kredit Daerah (Jamkrida) and Bank Jateng (regional bank of Central Java) have distributed Rp229 billion to macro, medium and small enterprises.

President Director of PT Jamkrida of Central Java Branch M. Nazir Siregar said that the funds would be distributed to around 15,000 micro, medium and small scale entrepreneurs. However, he said that the number is considered small because there around 3.6 million enterprenreurs in Central Java.

Last week, PT Jamkrida, Bank Jateng, and the Central Java provincial government signed a memorandum of understanding to facilitate the distribution of the funds.

Jamkrida hoped that the number of entrepreneurs receiving the funds in 2016 would be bigger.
