TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Syaikhul Islam, a member of Commission VIII of the House of Representative, asserted that Minister Regulation No. 15/2015 on would benefit foreign investors more than the country.

"In relation to the minister regulation, we are concerned. The fifth point [of the regulation] states that the highest participating interest is 15 percent," Syaikhul said in a hearing with PT Pertamina in Jakarta on Wednesday, April 27, 2015.

According to Syaikhul, the fifth point of the regulation grants bigger favor for foreign investors compared to more national interest.

Meanwhile, in relation to the revision of the Oil and Gas Law (Law No. 21/2001), Syaikhul suggested that the revision should provide maximum benefit for the country.
