Garuda Now Flies Guangzhou-Denpasar

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State carrier Garuda Indonesia will open direct flights from Guangzhou to Denpasar in a bid to jack-up the number of tourist visits from China to Indonesia. Garuda Indonesia Guangzhou general manager Dharmawan J. Hendrata said the airline has obtained the license to operate the route by the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC).
"The license from the CAAC was given on Thursday, May 21, 2015, and will be further processed to the Ministry of Transportation," he told Antara in Beijing on Friday, May 22.
Dharmawan said the nonstop flight from Guangzhou to Denpasar begins on July 8, this summer.
Garuda currently has four regular flights from China to Indonesia, the Beijing-Jakarta route, the Shanghai-Jakarta route, the Jakarta-Guangzhou route and the Beijing-Denpasar.
