Mayor Ridwan Kamil Invites Mark Zuckerberg to Bandung

TEMPO.CO, Bandung - Bandung Mayor Ridwan Kamil said that the government is currently trying to invite Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg to be a speaker in the Asian and American Latin American Youth Forum (FEALAC) event that will take place in Bandung. The forum will have talks on creative economy, maritime economy and independent beginners.
“Mark was chosen for becoming one of the young successful business figure,” Ridwan said after a meeting with the team from the Youth and Sport Ministry and Foreign Ministry in Dalem Kaum Street Bogor, on Monday, May 11. The government will also invite youths from 16 Asian countries and 20 Latin American countries.
This 4-day event will be organized on September 22-25 2015. Bandung administration will provide places to organize the forum such as the ex Asian-African Conference and Merdeka Building, where at the same time, Bandung will be celebrating its anniversary.
At the end of the event, the result of the discussion will be appended in the youth agreement. The letter will be made similar to the 10 Principles of Bandung on the first Asian-African Conference in 1955.
The government expect Asia and Latin America could have a central axis power. “So that countries that are currently developing will beassisted in the future,” said Ridwan.
