TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia Center Executive Director for Indonesian Taxation Analysis Yustinus Prastowo revealed that there are three potential candidates' names for the Director General of Customs and Excise position.
Those three are Heru Pambudi, Muhammad Sigit and Susiwijono. “The track records of these three candidates are outstanding and has the ability to lead the Directorate General of Customs,” Yustinus said on Sunday, May 10.
According to Yustinus, all three understands the issues in this sector. “They have been known internally and therefore will not have difficulties in forming solidity in the department,” he said.
The Finance Ministry is currently conducting an auction process for the customs chief. The post has been vacant ever since Agung Kuswandono is named deputy in the Maritime Coordinator Ministry. Technical Director of Customs Supraptono is currently in charge as acting chief.
The committee led by Deputy Finance Minister Mardiasmo have passed 14 names for the customs chief candidate from 26 applicants. Those 14 have passed the administration test and have qualified for the next assessment center and paper writing stage that will take place in May 11-12.
