Indomie to Build Factory in Morocco

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Morocco and the Islamic Republic of Mauritania Syarief Syamsuri visited marketing and selling office of instant noodle Indomie in Casablanca, Morocco, where an instant noddle factory will be built in Ain Johra Industrial Estate in Tiflet, Morocco.
Third Secretary of the Indonesian Embassy in Rabat, Muhammad Hartantyo, on Saturday said that the construction of Indomie factory will begin in January 2015 and is expected to begin its production by the end of the third quarter in 2015.
The factory will be the biggest Indomie factory outside Indonesia.
For the record, Indomie began to enter Morocco market 5 years ago by establishing Indo Morocco Company a partnership between Sawaz Group (Salim group and Wazaran/Arab Saudi Grup) and a local Morocco company LINA owned by entrepreneur Abdullah Ghozy.
Indonesian Ambassador in Rabat Syarief Syamsuri especially visited Indomie marketing and selling office Indo Morocco Company SA.
The visit was led President Director Mufli Zaumar and Finance and Administration Director Ahmad Sidikki.
The Ambassador welcomed the construction of the factory and said the Indonesian Embassy is ready to help and gives facilities needed.
