Rajawali to Complete Development of St. Regis Hotel in 2015

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Rajawali Group will complete the development of St. Regis Hotel in Lengkawi, Malaysia, this year.  St. Regis Hotel will be the host of ASEAN Leader Summit, which was opened on April 27, 2015.

“This is a huge opportunity for us to introduce St. Regis brand that is famous for its best services.  We are also delighted to build a world-class convention centre,” Rajawali Group Chairman Peter Sondakh said in a press conference on Tuesday, April 28.

The hotel adopts the style of Morish Mansion and contemporary panoramic Malacca Strait.  The resort sands in a land broadest to 5.5 hectares with 88 luxury suites which consist 25 Mansion Houses, 48 East Lagoon Suites, 12 West Lagoon Suites and 3 Water Villas. Specifically in welcoming the ASEAN Leaders Summit, St. Regis will complete 20 suites in advance.

The St. Regis Hotel development will be completely developed in October 2015 and will be open for public in November 2015, said Rajawali Property Group CEO Shirley Tan.

Meanwhile the Langkawi International Convention Centre (LICC) have been completed at the end of February.  The ballroom has the capacity of 1,000 chairs and built in the area broadest to 6,100 square meters.

The holder of the hotel and the convention centre itself is the Integrated Resort Nautical Sdn Bhd (INR).  INR is a joint venture company between Rajawali Group and Malaysia’s Finance and Langkawi Development Authority.
