TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry decided not to change subsidized fuel prices this February as global oil price tends to increase, with the average market price for diesel rising to more than US$73 per barrel on February 13, 2015.
"This condition is different from the average price in the previous period, [fuel] price is unlikely to decrease," said I Gusti Nyoman Wiratmadja, the Acting Director General of Oil and Gas on Wednesday, February 18, 2015.
He said that the government continues to monitor global oil price movement, which has shown a tendency to increase.
Currently, the price for one liter of kerosene is set at Rp2,500, while Solar (subsidized diesel fuel) and Premium fuel are sold at Rp 6,400 and Rp 6,600 per liter, respectively.
