BPK Finds Rp25.74tn State Loss

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – The Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) found 4,900 cases of non-compliance with legislation throughout the first semester of 2014, which resulted in an estimated state loss of Rp25.74 trillion.
The BPK also found 2,802 cases of maladministration and 621 cases of extravagances, inefficiencies, and ineffectiveness, which incurred the state Rp5.13 trillion.
BPK chairman Harry Azhar Azis said a number of entities have been followed up on some of BPK's findings through assets delivery and money deposits, totaling at Rp6.34 trillion.
