TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Governor of Yogyakarta, the Royal Highness Sultan Hamengku Buwono X, congratulated President Joko Widodo. “I congratulate Jokowi. I hope that the pro-people vision really manifests in the future,” said the Sultan.

The Sultan, however, refused to comment on Jokowi’s working plan, particularly on maritime matter. Prior to Jokowi’s running for presidency, the Sultan had often spoken of the importance of maritime management and defense.

“He knows better. I do not want to teach him a lesson. He has his programs. All he needs is consistency,” said Sultan.

Moreover, Sultan also refused to speak of his expectation toward the president, in relation of Yogyakarta Special Status. “I will [speak of it] when I meet him,” he said.
