TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Justice and Human Rights Ministry’s selection committee for director generals has announced the names of candidates who passed the capacity test to become the next director general of immigration on Monday, September 22. Of the total 22 candidates, only six are qualified.

Denny Indrayana, a member of the selection committee for immigration director general candidates, has released the names of the qualified candidates on the ministry’s website www.kemenkumham.co.id on Tuesday, September 23. The six are:

1. Asep Kurnia, secretary to the immigration director general

2. Bambang Widodo, head of the Civil Service Agency of the Immigration Secretary General

3. M. Diah, chief of the North Sumatra Immigration Office

4. Molan Tarigan, dissemination director of the Directorate General of Human Rights

5. Muhammad Yanis, Central Kalimantan Immigration Office division head

6. Rochadi Iman Santoso, director of system and technology of the Immigration Directorate General

Denny said the six candidates would proceed to the next stage—a health exam—slated for Thursday, September 25 at the Gatot Subroto Army Hospital (RSPAD). “The candidates are obliged to attend the selection stage. Otherwise there will be no more tests for them and they will be disqualified,” Denny, who is also the Justice and Human Rights Deputy Minister, said.

The selection process lasted from September 11-19 as the ministry is seeking the right person to replace the present immigration director general, Bambang Irawan, who is due to retire.
