TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Garuda Indonesia Travel Fair (GATF) event has brought fruitful profits for Citilink. The low-cost airliner managed to hit sales up to US$310,000 during the three day event on September 12 to September 14, 2014.
"The sales number has gone over the original US$250,000 target intended by the company," said Benny S. Butarbutar, Vice President of Corporate Communications for Citilink Indonesia, in a written statement on Tuesday, September 16, 2014.
Benny said that the achievement shows the high enthusiasm of the people to go travelling during the 2nd semester of 2014. Citilink recorded the three most-wanted routes purchased by GATF visitors, namely Jakarta-Denpasar, Jakarta-Surabaya, and Jakarta-Medan.
Previously, Citilink targeted a sales value of US$250,000 during the event by offering 10 percent discounts for all routes. The company also introduced the mobile application that can help customers to purchase tickets.
