TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Leicester City’s management announced that the club had signed an Argentinean player Esteban Cambiasso after the former Inter Milan midfielder decided to leave his club on a free transfer.
The 34-year old player, who had been with Inter Milan for almost a decade, will play for Leicester City for the next 12 months.
“I’m very, very happy – it’s the beginning of [my history] in the Premier League – I hope and we hope that in the future it’s a great history,” Cambiasso said as quoted by the club’s official website on Saturday, August 30, 2014.
Cambiasso revealed that Leicester City had targeted him to play in Barclays Premier League. After having discussed with his fellow countryman Hernan Crespo, it was an easy decision to make for the world-renowned midfielder.
“If all is OK then it’s no problem in the future. At this moment I think its better [to sign for one year]. If all are happy, maybe I can stay more years,” Cambiasso added.
