TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Low-cost carrier Citilink Indonesia has targeted 200 flight frequencies every day. Since August 15, Citilink has added Jakarta-Batam round-trip route to four frequencies and Jakarta-Surabaya to eight frequencies.
"These are Citilink's attempts to secure position in dominating domestic flight," said Citilink Indonesia CEO Arif Wibowo yesterday.
There will be more new routes such as Yogyakarta-Pekanbaru, Malang-Bandung, Malang-Banjarmasin and Malang-Lombok which will be added on August 25.
Citilink has been committed to add more flight frequencies as there were more Airbus 320 planes. Citilink recently obtained its 27th aircraft. "We will keep bringing in new planes until 50 units by 2017," Arif said.
