TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A locally-made TV animation series entitled ‘Kokorockyou’ was launched Sunday on the Indosiar TV channel. The animation producer, PT Digital Global Maximena, is based in Malang, East Java. The animation was claimed to be created whole by local Indonesian talents.
For start, the series begin with just 13 episodes.
“Each of the episodes has 30 minutes duration with three segments, or three different stories,” said the film director, Astu Prasidya on Saturday.
Kokorockyouwas launched on the 69th Indonesian Independence Day commemoration to grab the momentum to mark the rise of Indonesian animation film. Although the film is screened on TV for the first time, it had won the first place for the Best Working category in the 2013 Festival Asiagraph in Japan.
Kokorockyou presents a story about the lives of chickens living in an “apartment” which is actually chicken cage in a farm. The antagonist is a cat named Garong.
