TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State Owned Enterprises Minister Dahlan Iskan is scheduled to meet with the directors of state oil company Pertamina and state power company PLN today, August 11. Despite saying he was reluctant to intervene on the subsidized diesel fuel sales contract dispute between the two SOEs, Dahlan decided to talk with both companies in a bid to help them find a way out.
Dahlan is scheduled Pertamina's president director Karen Agustiawan and PLN's president director Nur Pamudji this morning. Both were invited to come to the SOE Ministry at 08.00 am.
In the meeting, Dahlan will also ask the two bosses about the progress of several geothermal projects. Dahlan previously said that some gas pipes needed to be checked, such as the one from Arun field to Medan and the one from Cepu to Semarang.
The dispute between the two SOEs began when PLN was said not to have paid for Pertamina's subsidized diesel fuel—known as Solar—according to the price set by the Finance and Development Supervisory Agency (BPK). Pertamina then threatened to stop distributing Solar diesel to power plants owned by PLN.
