TEMPO.CO, Vienna - The Embassy of Indonesia (KBRI) in Vienna held the presidential voting on Saturday, July 5, 2014, in which 221 Indonesian citizens used their voting rights. The number of election participants increased by 3.76 percent from the Legislative election held on April 5 2014, in which only 213 people voted.
The result will be counted as part of the foreign voting booth of the KBRI in Vienna for the DKI Jakarta Region II voting area (Central Jakarta, South Jakarta and outside of Indonesia). "The voting starts at 8 am and ends at 6 pm local time," said the KBRI press yesterday.
From the total number of voters, 195 were permanent foreign voters (DPTLN), 4 were additional foreign voters (DPTbLN) and 22 people were specific foreign voters (DPKLN). The voting went perfectly well because the voters have fully understood the voting procedures.
Based on the data by the Foreign Voters Committee (PPLN) of Vienna, the number of eligible voters in Austria and Slovenia are 725 people in total: 708 people are listed in the DPTLN list while 17 others are included in the DPTbLN list. From the total voters, 400 ballots were sent by mail.
The PPLN in Vienna will start the ballot count on July 9, in conjunction with the election in Indonesia. On July 14, the committee will be tallying the total votes with the ballots sent in by mail.
