TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Semarang city has been awarded the Adipura trophy as the cleanest city for metropolitan category. The trophy become the third in three consecutive years for the city. "If the environment is damaged, it will widely impact the climate," said the Minister during the Environment Award night in Jakarta, Thursday.
"The present generation bears the result of environmental damages done by the previous generations. The damages must be repaired so they will not burden the next generation."
