TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - MINI will display a limited edition from Mini Cooper Hardtop called DeLux on New York Motor Show next week.

This car is designed by a level-2 university student from Virginia Commonwealth University named Alex Coyle. DeLux won a Final Tes Drive contest that was held several weeks ago. The contest asked owners of MINI to give bespoke package designs for the third generation of MINI.

Started with a black-colored MINI, Coyle added graphics that are inspirated from virtual lights on every panel of the body to highlight the shape of the car at night. Headlights are also installed at the front radiator grille and replacing the rims with 18-inch alloy wheels which made the car looked sporty.

The interior graphics for the DeLux MINI are not yet available, but MINI said DeLux is featured with white lines, contrast to Black Pearl on the leather seats.  This car is filled with option equipments that includes cold weather, premium, sport and comfort access package.

Coyle's design uses Cooper S with 189 Horsepower as a basis. MINI has not announced whether the DeLux package will also be available for lower variants of Cooper.
