TEMPO.CO, Madrid - Disney has to prepare for stiff competition in creating theme parks as Ferrari announced yesterday that the company would build Ferrari Land in the resort town of PortAventura, Spain.
Digital Trends reported that a number of features had been prepared for the theme park, including the fastest roller coaster in the world. In addition, a five-star hotel with 250 rooms, a restaurant, and driving simulations will be built in Ferrari Land.
“[This] is a very solid plan developed by competent people that will bring the magic of Ferrari to Spain, a nation where we have many supporters and enthusiasts, and to which large numbers of tourists flock each year,” said Andrea Perrone, Ferrari Brand Senior Vice President, as quoted by Digital Trends.
Autocar reported that Ferrari would disburse US$140 million to build the theme park. As the Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi has gained a success, Ferrari believes that Ferrari land will be even more successful in the company’s home country.
