TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Two military contractors from the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) under NATO authority were killed in a suicide bomb attack on Monday in Kabul, Afghanistan. Xinhua reported that the contractors were killed in after a car bomb exploded nearby.
Militant group Hizb-e-Islami, led by Gulbudin Hekmatyar, claimed responsibility of the attack. The suicide bombers struck a car to ISAF convoy in Mahbass. The blast also destroyed a convoy's vehicle and a civilian car, while blasting the windows nearby.
In Afghanistan today, there are over 57,000 NATO military-men, 38,000 of which are Americans. They were initially deployed to help the domestic security. In recent development, most of the men will leave the country before this year ends.
