TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - One more movie entitled 'Street Society' is set to contribute in the Indonesian film industry. The film about spoiled rich youngsters who love street racing will hit the theatres on February 20.

"This kind of film concept has never been existed in Indonesia. This is a new, fresh, and presents 30 billion rupiahs luxurious cars," said Hendri Wijaya, the executive producer of the 'Street Society'. The movie directed by Awi Suryadi has cost Rp18 billion for the production and marketing processes. However, most of the budget went to the road-blocking shootings instead of the cars. Suramadu Bridge that connects Surabaya and Madura Island in East Java was one of the shooting spot for the movie.

Famous Indonesian actors and actresses such as Marcel Chandrawinata, Wulan Guritno, Chelsea Elizabeth, Ferri Salim, Edward Akbar, Edward Gunawan, dan Kelly Tandiono are starring the movie which was made in 40 days. The luxury cars featured on the film includes Lamborghini, McLaren, Ferrari, Bentley, Rolls Royce, Porsche, BMW, Ducati, and Aston Martin.

The movie intends to show that Indonesia is an exotic and safe country for drivers. The director also hopes that the movie will grow trust on the investors so that they will be confident enough to invest their money in Indonesia.
