TEMPO.CO, Sydney – Today, the Chinese Lunar New Year 2565 is celebrated across the globe. According to the Chinese dating system, the year 2565 is the year of the wooden horse. A Sydney-based astrologist and feng shui expert Lok Tin, predicted that there will be catastrophes hitting the Southern Hemisphere.

Lok, as cited by the Sydney Morning Herald, mentioned that there will be disaster involving the element of fire, "such as the fire in Southern Australia." He mentioned that fire might take place in South America and Southern New Zealand this year.

He explained that in the previous year of the horse, several major events related to fire had took place. Back in 1894, the Sino-Japan war began. Six decades after that, the United States and the Soviet Union conducted nuke bomb tests.

Regardless many skeptical views upon the Chinese astrology, it has proven enough to be considered as a belief among Chinese communitines in the midst of the Chinese New Year festivity.
