TEMPO.CO, Juba – Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir, arrived at South Sudan's capital city, Juba, on Monday, January 6, 2014, to discuss the conflict that has hit the country for three weeks.
Bashir's arrival was welcomed at the Juba Airport by South Sudan's Vice President James Wani Igga, before going to Presidential place to have talks with President Salva Kiir.
Khartoum previously announced through a press release on Sunday, January 5, 2014, that Sudan expected the conflict that is occurring in South Sudan can be solved politically.
The conflict in South Sudan erupted in December 15, 2013, involving loyalists of President Kiir from the military and armed supporters of former Vice President Riek Machar who was toppled from his position in July 2013.
