TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Near 2014 New Year, hotel and resort prices in Anyer beach, Serang, and in Carita beach, Pandeglang Banten, have increased up to 200 percent from the regular price. Head of Serang Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI) Hardomo said that the increase is due to additional services.

"A number of hotels and cottages mostly charge more in holiday season. Regularly, an 8-person villa is charged Rp3 million per night. Currently the price is Rp8 million," said Hardomo on Monday, December 30, 2013.

Hardomo said that the additional services include New Year eve party and additional menu. "We usually sell rooms and breakfasts. In new year we also provide a special package that includes lunch and dinner," he said.

According to Hardomo, the price increase would not stop tourists' enthusiasm. It is reflected by the increase of occupancy to 90 percent compared to the previous week that reached 70 percent.
