TEMPO.CO, London - After quite a long time of silence, Adele has just collected another achievement in her singing career. Adele is now a Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE), a division of chivalry in the United Kingdom.
The 25-year-old has been awarded MBE by Prince Charles for her dedication in music. "It was an honor to be recognized and a very proud moment to be awarded alongside such wonderful and inspirational people. Very posh indeed," the singer said in a statement as quoted by LA Times yesterday.
A writer Joanne Harris and F1 racer Christian Horner have also been awarded the same title. Adele has won the ninth Grammy Award for Best Pop Solo Performance for the song Set Fire to the Rain last February. She has also won Oscar's Best Original Song for Skyfall.
