TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - After releasing the Google Glass, Google cannot seem to stop making new innovations. The company now set to establish a robot division, as confirmed by Google Android's Executive Andy Rubin.
During the last six months, Google has been acquiring seven robotic corporations, including Industrial Perception and Schaft and Meka. In an interview with the New York Times, Rubin stated that robotics will be their long term project for the next 10 years.
Several other companies have actually developed robots in their business activities, such as GE and Amazon. Therefore, Google is not the first company to initiate the project, despite the fact that its CEO Larry Page seemed to be eager in anticipating the company's new robotic division.
