TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Up until today, Indonesia had repatriated 2,452 Indonesian overstayers from Saudi Arabia in total. The fifth repatriation process of 489 Indonesians was carried out on Saturday, November 30, 2013.
"In accordance with the government's commitment to keep repatriating Indonesian overstayers, on November 30, 2013, Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia [KJRI] in Jeddah has repatriated 489 overstayers," as stated by a press release received by Tempo on Sunday, December 1, 2013.
Out of the total of 489 people, 317 of them are women, 84 are men, 50 are children, and 38 are infants. The repatriation process was supervised by two KJRI staff.
Moreover, the Saudi Arabian authority also carried out repatriation process independently for overstayers who enter Saudi Arabia using the umrah and hajj visa.
