TEMPO.CO, Hollywood, CA - Tom Cruise is set to return as covert agent Ethan Hunt in another installament of Mission: Impossible, released on Christmas 2015. Entertainment Weekly cited Cruise will return to collaborate with director Christopher McQuarrie in Mission: Impossible 5.
The release will also coincide several other movie releases such as Kung Fu Panda 3 and Warner Bros' adoption of Dennis Lehane's novel Live By Night, starring the new Batman Ben Affleck. Far from safe, Christmas next year will bring along Star Wars: Episode VII, Inferno and Warcraft.
The previous installament, Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol - starring Cruise and Jeremy 'Hawkeye' Renner, was also premiered in December. In total, Ghost Protocol has made US$209.4 million during 17 weeks of screening in the US, while its global gross has reached US$694 million.
