TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - As many as 200 folding bicycle community members from all over Indonesia regions will commemorate the National Heroes' Day together in Yogyakarta from November 9 to 10, 2013. The bikers that incorporated in the 'Indonesian Foldable Bike Community' will hold an event entitled "J150K" that will initiate biking covering a distance of 150 km.

"We will encompass route of three regencies," said Yogi Sukmana, The Head Committee of J150K on Thursday morning, November 7, 2013.

The encompass routes are Yogyakarta, Sleman, and Bantul regencies. "The event will be a form of gathering while also familiarizing a healthy lifestyle by cycling at the same time," said Sukmana.

The future program from this folding bike lover's community is to hold an activity that rides in small groups consists of 10 people each to avoid congestion in Yogyakarta city every week.

Yogyakarta folding bicycle enthusiast, Andy Prabowo, said that the J150K event is also used as to remind people on a more sustainable approach to the environment. "The National Heroes' Day is also a momentum for the campaign to revive the memory of Yogyakarta city as the City of Heroes, in which the Indonesian fighters at those times depended on the role of bicycles as a mean of transportation," he claimed.
