TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Windows 8 users can now upgrade their operating system with the new Windows 8.1 update. The update includes new and enhanced features, and marks the return of the Start button in the Windows desktop graphic user interface.
In order to update their operating system, all Windows 8 users must launch the Windows Store application. The Windows 8.1 upgrade will pop up as one of the critical updates. Clicking on it will initiate the upgrade process.
Windows 8.1 upgrade costs US$ 119,99 for the regular version and US$ 199,99 for the pro version. Windows 8.1 DVD will also be sold in some stores.
"Windows 8.1 is the first major update to Windows 8, which completely revamped Windows for touch devices when Microsoft formally launched it about a year ago," Pete Pachal Wrote on Mashable, Thursday, October 17.
One of the most obvious changes in the update is the return of the Start button on Windows desktop display.
