TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Senior Commissioner Sumirat Dwiyanto, the Public Relation Chief of the National Narcs Agency (BNN), stated that urine and hair check from former Supreme Justice Akil Mochtar did not show any sign of drug use. However, he said that BNN remained investigating the marijuana and pills possession, as found in Akil Mochtar's office.
The set of drugs itself was handed by the Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) to BNN as it did not contribute to the Mochtar graft investigation. "Had it been found in his (Akil's) hand, it would have been certain that he owned it," Sumirat said. "However, it was found in his desk."
Commissioner Sumirat later added that the negative result as found in urine and hair check might also happen when the users have not been consuming drugs for a while. Again, he mentioned that an investigation to whom the drugs belonged will commence.
