TEMPO.CO, Labuan Bajo - Coordinating Minister for People's Welfare Agung Laksono said the Sail 2014 event is scheduled to be held in Raja Ampat, Papua. "See you all in Sail Raja Ampat 2014," Agung said in his remarks at the Sail Komodo event in Pede Beach, Labuan Bajo, Manggarai Barat, East Nusa Tenggara, yesterday.
In his report, Agung Laksono, the head of the Sail Komodo Committee, explained what East Nusa Tenggara had done to prepare the event, such as the 'house make-over' program done by the Ministry of Social Affairs in Labuan Bajo and the construction of an airport and a seaport in Komodo island.
Other activities during the event is the Komodo Expo exhibition held in Kampung Ujung, Labuan Bajo, which will end today. The so-called 'smart houses' and other facilities to support the Sail Komodo were also built. "Those were the activities we have done to welcome the Sail Komodo," he said.
Since 2009, the government has been holding four sail events: Sail Bunaken, Sail Banda in Ambon, Sail Wakatobi in Beliting, Sail Morotai in Morotai and the recently concluded Sail Komodo in Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara.
