TEMPO.CO, Yogyakarta - Yogyakarta Royal Wedding of Sultan Hamengkubuwono X's daughter, Gusti Kanjeng Ratu Hayu and KPH Notonegoro will be celebrated with 12 royal horse carriages. The Royal Highness Sultan Hamengkubuwono X and Paku Alam IX will be on the parade departing from the palace to the Kepatihan hall.

"At GKR Bendara's marriage, there were only five carriages," said GBPH Yudaningrat, Chief of Yogyakarta Cultural Agency. The procession will take place on October 21-23.

Yudoningrat said the horses were sent from Bandung. The bride and groom will be paraded on Kyai Jongwiyat carriage, the one specialized for a royal wedding. The Royal Highness and His wife, GKR Hemas, will be using Kyai Winomoputro carriage, the one with eight horses pulling it.

Deputy Governor Paku Alam IX will be riding Prince Diponegoro's Kyai Mandrasuwala. "All carriages are in good shape. They only need a little repairing work," said Yudoningrat.
