Jusuf Kalla: Bribery Nothing to Do with Golf

TEMPO.CO, Tangerang - Former Vice President Jusuf Kalla said bribery can possibly occur in any given places, not merely in golf course as often depicted in recent graft cases. Therefore, he rejected the idea that state's officials are not allowed to play golf.
According to Kalla, bribery can attack anyone with less morality, not solely bound inside the golf course. "Let them play golf. It has nothing to do with that (SKK Migas) case," said Kalla.
Such discourse appeared following the arrest of Rudi Rubiandini, Chief of the Upstream Oil and Gas Taskforce (SKK Migas). The case eventually involved a man named Deviardi, a golf coach. Devriadi played a role as a middle man in Rudi’s trading or tender service, won by Kernel Oil.
