TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono seems to give special attention to the situation in Egypt. Through his Twitter account, he expressed his concern over the political situation in the country. The tweet, signed *SBY*, appeared to have been self-posted by the president.
"Without an urgent and workable solution, it can cause can cause a devastating horizontal conflict," read the tweet which was posted around Sunday morning.
According to Yudhoyono, the solution is for the two opposing parties to compromise. "Not 'winner takes all'. The UN and the world should encourage and support [as well]".
The UN, according to SBY, should take the initiative to prevent greater bloodshed. All efforts must be taken, including reconciliation.
The President also appealed to Indonesians who are in Egypt, including students, to avoid dangerous places and maintain communication with the Indonesian Embassy. "Do not get yourselves involved in the conflict," Yudhoyono reinforced.
