TEMPO.CO, Seattle - Henry Liebman, an insurance adjuster from Seattle, the United States, fished out a 200-year old rockfish in Juneau, Alaska. The beast, apparently, was older than the state of Alaska itself.
NY Daily News reported that Henry Liebman reeled in 39.08-pound rockfish on June 21. "I knew it was abnormally big but I didn't know it was a record until on the way back we looked in the Alaska guide book that was on the boat," he said.
The capture means the fish was born before the US bought Alaska from Russia in 1967. Liebman later reportedly returned home and said he will mount the fish on his wall. However, several critics have sparked on Twitter, criticizing him for killing the 'beautiful' creature.
