TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The People's Conscience Party (Hanura) Faction Head Syarifuddin Suding stated that the party would oppose the 2013 draft of revised state budget (RAPBN-P). "Based on our party's perspective, we still refused it," he said on Monday, June 17.
He also said that he would not be affected by the decisions of other parties. "I don't know the (political) mapping, but we oppose. If the coalition reached consensus, that's another story," he said.
He was certain that the plenary meeting today would end up in voting. "The rule is, if one party disagrees, then they will have to proceed with voting. And we disagree."
Earlier, three factions in the House of Representative (DPR) opposed the rise of fuel price. The factions were Hanura, the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP), and the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS).
Hanura, represented by Nurdin Tampubolon, claimed that they opposed the plan in the name of the people's prosperity. They said that the government were not able to maintain the finance well, resulting in a crisis. Nurdin further added that with 6,3 percent of economic growth, the government does not have to increase fuel price.
