TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Pertamina (Persero), through its subsidiary, PT Pertamina Bina Medika, will open a liver hospital soon in Sentul, Bogor. The company will cooperate with noble-winner in chemical sciences, Professor Koichi Tanaka.
"Tanaka will help the hospital's preparation process to be the center of liver treatment which fulfills interrnational standard. I was surprised that people (from the Pertamina Central Hospital or RSPP) accompanied him here (the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises)," said Minister Dahlan Iskan on Tuesday.
The soft opening of the hospital is scheduled on July. "The soft opening will be on July. The grand opening will be around September or October by the President," Dahlan added. However, Dahlan could not give any detail on the investment. "I don't remember," he said.
Dahlan expressed his optimism that the hospital will have the same quality with Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore. Tanaka also has promised to Dahlan that he would spend the rest of his life in Indonesia, particularly in the hospital in Sentul. "He (Tanaka) said that he would spend the rest of his life in Sentul. He was not kidding, he was serious. He said he liked the environment," Dahlan quoted Tanaka.
