TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Tony Scott, the Chief Information Officer who managed Microsoft's internal IT operation, left the giant company.
"Tony Scott decided to depart Microsoft to focus on personal projects," Microsoft said in a statement to GeekWire. "While at Microsoft, Tony was a strong IT leader passionate about taking Microsoft's technology to the next level and using our experiences and learnings to help customers and partners. We thank Tony for his contributions and wish him well."
Scott joined Microsoft on January 2008. He replaced Stuart Scott, who was fired on November 2007 for violating company's policy. Before joining Microsoft, Scott led the Walt Disney's IT infrastructure. He was also the chief technology officer at General Motors and vice president of operations at Bristol-Myers Squibb.
