Egyptian Police Detain Georgians Assumedly Making Porn Movie

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Egyptian Police detained a group of Georgian tourists accused of filming pornographic scenes in Hurghada, Red Sea before eventually releasing them.
Around twelve men and women appeared naked in Giftun Islands, a popular tourist destination with a direct flight from Hurghada. The Georgians are then brought to a nearby police station, as reported by Al-Masry Al-Youm.
At the station, the suspects denied the allegations. They stated that they were shooting movie scenes about Egyptian wildlife.
"These tourists were just diving and filming the beautiful aquatic of our flora and fauna. The authorities had wrongly assessed the situation due to their inexperiences," said a spokesperson for Egypt's Minister of Tourism.
He stated that the suspects had been released after Egyptian police found nothing illegal within the recording.
A Georgian television, Rustavi 2, reported on Sunday that the twelve detainees were participants of a nationally popular reality TV show, Top Gogo (Top Girls), which is about a competition to become top models. The report said that litigation for the arrest was being prepared.
