TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Forestry Ministry has signed a commitment on the implementation of the Gratification Control Program (PPG) with the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) in Jakarta on Tuesday, May 21.

The commitment was signed by the ministry's secretary general Hadi Daryanto and KPK's Prevention Division deputy Iswan Elmi. The signing process was witnessed by Forestry Minister Zulkifli Hasan and KPK deputy chairman Adnan Pandu Praja.

Zulkifli said that his ministry will be taking the commitment seriously. "The MoU will save us. Let this ministry be a model. We are serious about this matter," Zulkifli stated.

The minister explained that he has issued a circular letter No. SE.2/Menhut-II/2012 on Gratification Reporting at the Forestry Ministry. The letter was issued to prevent gratification within the ministry. Ministerial staffs are encouraged to actively report any gratifications they received to their superiors to be reported to the first echelon officer and the KPK.
