Indonesian Students' "Cow Dung" Air Freshener Won INEPO 2013

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - a cow dung air freshener made by Dwi Nailul Izzah and Rintya Miki Aprianti, students of Muhammadiyah Babat High School, Lamongan, managed to be the third winner of International Environment Project Olympiade (INEPO) 2013 in Istanbul, Turkey.
Emzita Taufiq, Muhammadiyah Babat High School teacher, confirmed the news to Tempo. She said that the two students are still in Istanbul, Turkey, accompanied by their Headmaster and English teacher. They were scheduled to return to Indonesia in two days.
The school has not receive any information about the prize yet, but most importantly, is that the students could achieve such award in science field. "We are grateful for that," said Emzita.
Moreover, in the INEPO 2013 event, Dwi Nailul Izzah and Rintya Miki Aprianti have to compete against tough participants from 50 nations like Canada, Denmark, Finland, German, Italy, Portugese, Malaysia, U.S., Russia, and Poland.
Prior to joining the competition, the cow dung air freshener managed to be the first winner of Indonesian Science Project Olympiad (ISPO) 2013. Their work was also tested and presented before Lamongan Governor, Fadeli.
