TEMPO.CO, Jakarta-Street vendors along the road between the Banyuglugur and Asembagus sub-district were banned to operate, starting today to tomorrow because the road will be traveled by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and Vice President Boediono.
“They can operate once the group leaves Situbondo, Friday evening,” said spokesperson of Situbondo Resort Police, Adj. Comm. Wahyudi on Wednesday, May 1.
SBY and Boediono will visit Situbondo to observe a joint military training of 16.745 soldiers from the Indonesian Army (TNI AD), Indonesian Navy (TNI AL), and Indonesian Air Force (TNI AU). The President and Vice President will also be attending a social event at port Jangkar, then proceed to Mount Bromo. First Lady Ani Yudhoyono and Boediono’s wife Herawati are scheduled to visit the art and cultural market at Basuki Rahmat street.
“During the Situbondo visit, they will stay in Asembagus marine lodging,” said the spokesperson of Situbondo district, Sugeng Djuwono.
