BMKG Forecasts Rain in Most Parts of Greater Jakarta Today

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has issued a rain advisory for most parts of Jakarta this afternoon, August 5. Temperatures in the region are expected to range from 25 to 32 degrees Celsius with humidity levels between 65 and 95 percent.
According to a 24-hour weather forecast released on Sunday, August 4, light rain covered the entire Jakarta area on Monday morning. Winds are predicted to blow from the east to southeast at a speed of 2-15 kilometers per hour.
The morning rain is expected to clear by noon, giving way to cloudy skies until around 13:00 local time. However, light rain is likely to return to South and West Jakarta in the afternoon and evening.
Bogor City can also anticipate rainfall starting around 14:00 local time, with heavier showers expected in the late afternoon at around 15:00-17:00. Similar weather conditions are forecast for Depok, with rain falling from Monday afternoon until 21:00 local time. The temperatures may range from 24-32 degrees Celsius.
Additionally, the BMKG noted that Tangerang City is expected to remain cloudy with a slight chance of light rain around 18:00-19:00.
